David England is a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist, Storyteller and Author. We are honored to introduce David England as one of the European Psychosynthesis Association's featured bloggers. Through his blog contributions, David brings his unique voice, integrating deep psychological insight with the soulfulness of myth, story, and shamanic wisdom. His writing invites reflection, connection, and transformation - hallmarks of psychosynthesis in action.

David's work is grounded in two lifelong passions: Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy and Storytelling. In his view, both are profoundly relational practices where healing and inspiration arise in the sacred space between teller and listener. Whether in the therapy room or sharing folk tales, David honours the inner world and its unfolding.

At the heart of his professional journey lies a commitment to synthesis. Inspired by Assagioli’s vision, David has focused on integrating Shamanic Psychology with Psychosynthesis, culminating in his acclaimed book Soulfulness: The Marriage of Shamanic and Contemporary Psychology (2017). Drawing from Native American models like the Medicine Wheel and Siberian shamanic practices, he offers transpersonal tools for healing and self-discovery.

.

His papers The Dynamic Portrayal of Soul and The Journey of Becoming provide psychospiritual maps that help therapists and clients locate themselves on their path of growth - from childhood wounding to transpersonal awareness. These works are featured in respected journals like Inside Out and the AAP Quarterly.

David also brings his love of cultural heritage into his storytelling, co-authoring Berkshire Folk Tales and Lancashire Folk Tales. Through these stories - of dragons, mysterious beings, and ancestral landscapes - he taps into the deep well of shared human experience.

As an EPA blogger, David shares reflections that deepen our collective exploration of soul, psyche, and purpose. His latest writings can be found on his website: www.soulfulness.co.uk
