We are happy to welcome Mahita El Bacha Urieta as a blogger at Epa. Mahita is a holistic psychospiritual therapist and life coach based in Madrid, offering both in-person and online sessions. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and holds qualifications from Middlesex University and the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London.
Working with individuals and couples, Mahita integrates somatic practices, energy work, meditation, art, writing, chakra and dream work. Her decolonial approach challenges internalised neoliberal and capitalist narratives, guiding clients toward disidentification from these systems and deeper reconnection with their authentic Self. She supports those navigating generational trauma, uprootedness, and experiences of systemic harm including narcissistic wounding, misogyny, racism, and alienation.
With over 30 years of experience in cultural policy, art curation, and programming—which she continues to engage with—Mahita brings historical, creative, and cultural depth to her therapeutic work. Of Lebanese-Spanish heritage and fluent in four languages, she centres cultural awareness and inclusivity in her practice.
She also shares her insights through blogs, journals, and podcasts, focusing on culture, psychosynthesis, personal growth, and spirituality.
